The France 2030 program is an ambitious initiative launched by the French government to accelerate the transformation of key sectors of our economy through innovation, and to position France not just as a player, but as a "leader" in the world of tomorrow.

Through this initiative, several financing schemes are available to support the export and international competitiveness of French companies, in particular to cover the costs associated with export development.

Find out more about international development aid, which aims to align France's foreign trade strategy with the sectoral priorities of reindustrialization and the objectives of France 2030, thus integrating trade, attractiveness and exports into the country's future economic vision.

What is France 2030?

France 2030 is a strategic plan designed to boost the innovation and competitiveness of French companies in strategic sectors, particularly those linked to new technologies, the environment and digital transformation.

The program focuses on the ecological and energy transition, but also includes measures to support French companies in their international expansion. For more information on France 2030, visit the program's official website: www.france2030.gouv.fr

One of the most interesting aspects of the France 2030 program concerns the financing of companies wishing to expand internationally.

The aim is to support France 2030 prizewinners in their export efforts, by financing part of the costs associated with prospecting, local recruitment and adapting to foreign regulations. But also, the search for international partners or customers.

What are the funding levels?

France 2030 winners will be supported over a 30-month action plan, with a high level of support and up to 50% of the cost of services, up to a maximum expenditure of €100,000 (export development budget), i.e. €50,000 in assistance. This funding is intended to cover various types of costs, in particular:

  • Sales prospecting: This covers all the steps required to identify and attract new customers in foreign markets.
  • Local recruitment: Funding can be used to hire local staff, whether for commercial, administrative or technical profiles.
  • Regulatory adaptation: Companies can use aid to adjust their products or services to the regulatory requirements of target countries, in terms of safety, labeling or quality standards, for example.
  • Market research: This enables companies to gain a better understanding of local needs and expectations, so as to fine-tune their sales strategy and adapt their products to the specific characteristics of the local market.

The 50,000 euros can thus cover a large part of export-related expenses, enabling French companies to reduce the financial risks often associated with internationalization.

How to access this assistance?

Access to this assistance is facilitated by the involvement of Team France Export, a network made up of various international support players. This network brings together organizations such as Business France, chambers of commerce and industry, regional authorities and private players specialized in international development. The steps involved in arranging financing are as follows:

  1. Identify eligible expenses: Before applying, companies must ensure that their internationalization-related expenses correspond to the criteria defined by the program. These expenses must be directly linked to prospecting, recruitment or product adaptation.
  2. Preparing the application file: Companies must submit a file detailing their international expansion project, the actions envisaged, the estimated costs and the expected results. This file must be accompanied by a presentation of the company and its international project.
  3. Submitting the application via Team France Export: Companies can submit their funding application in collaboration with a member of Team France Export, who will help them put together the file and submit it to the relevant authorities.
  4. Validation and receipt of funds: Once the application has been accepted, funding is granted in the form of a grant or loan, according to the terms and conditions specified in the program. Funds are disbursed to cover eligible expenses.
